Monday Trip - Mall of America

I'm not too much of a shopper at all I was wanting a day off from work and my uncle and a few cousins were going to the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. I decided to tag along because one major thing was that it's not Iowa, even if it's just a one day trip it's something. Well we left around 9:00 and made it there around 1:00 it was kind of boring trip just looking out at all of the cornfields. I was trying to stay up to at least keep my uncle company while driving. I didn't get anything there at all, I was just there for the trip. Actually all of us didn't really do too much shopping there, some bought a few shirts and my cousin bought a hat. So unfortunately the only time I had time to go to this even was on Sunday evening when everyone was about to clear everything out. I got to see very few things while out there though. Here are some pictures.

I haven't listen to the full album "21" yet but this song in particular has made me fall in love with her even more than I already was before. Just the way she sang the the song and the lyrics just about to bring tears in my eyes. It amazes me even more that she's really young. I'm shocked when reading her lyrics and it's coming from a young 21 year old when she wrote them.

Sunday June 5th - Easter Lake

I bunch of us cousins decided we need to enjoy the great weather we're having but didn't want to go too far. We decided to just chill at Easter Lake at the dock. Pictures are taken with Hipstamatic App.

Who is this person trying to break into our inner-circle?

So it looks like other people in my family that are also against this marriage. Could be because we don't know who exactly she is and if it's really all for "Love". Also we really dislike the little extra demon that came along with. It's all came so sudden and a very short time, who exactly are you and why do you feel you need to give us the cold shoulder when we say Hi. I know some of my other cousins do not like you but for me, I don't even know who you are or do you even bother to know me.

Now you're pregnant with my uncle's child and you've completely change this man I've known all my life that use to be a confident, independent, and young spirited guy. I know you don't know the English language that well but it doesn't hurt to attempt to get to know your new nephew or our Taidam culture. All I know is that you're Cambodian with such a loud uncontrollable little boy that is only a year older than me.

Ona's Graduation!

So my cousin, Ona has graduation from East High School and yesterday (Saturday June 4) she had a graduation party. She had it at Saylorville Lake in the Cottonwood Recreational Area. I was there pretty much the whole day and it was so hot, luckily it was cloudy for most of the day so we didn't have the sun beating down on us the whole entire time.

Pollo

So it's late and before I got home tonight we went to a Mexican restaurant that is open late at night. I got a chicken dish, I believe it's called "Pollo Senora." I said my order to the waitress and pronounced it "Polo" a person I met only today chucked at me by my pronunciation of the word.

I know I was wrong how I said it but I had a couple drinks in me so I was just pronouncing how I would say in American English. Now that I'm home thinking about it, I'm really annoyed about that whole ordeal. He made me feel as if I was stupid and uncultured. I took spanish in high school I know that double L makes a Y sound and it should have sounded like "Po-yo." Hell, I even went to Mexico a few years back so I just had a small misstep in saying the word chicken in Spanish.

What made me a little more upset is that I only met this guy tonight and he feels he had to take it upon himself to make me look like an idiot. I could have shot back a smart ass remark and let it be known how he'll approach me next time but I decided to back down as he so happens to me one of my good friend's friend so I stepped aside.

Taylor Swift in Des Moines - 5/29/11

So Ms T-Swizzle came to Des Moines, IA and I went to her concert. I'm not a big fan of her actually, I like that song "You Belong with Me" but other than that I don't really listen to her. Also I do agree with Kanye West when he came up on stage that "Beyonce had one of the best video of all time" haha. I have to say though it was a hella fun concert! I actually really enjoyed every minute of it. We had excellent seats by the way, here are a few pictures.
